
Tonight, the Milan FFA Chapter hosted its annual banquet in the MHS cafeteria. FFA provides student members with opportunities for leadership development, career exploration, and personal growth in the field of agriculture. Kudos to our outstanding student leaders and a big thank you to advisors Ms. Smith and Ms. Sides for their guidance and support!







Today, some of our students had the opportunity to visit the Nancy and David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center. The museum shares the powerful journey of Holocaust survivors who eventually found safety in Cincinnati. It’s an interactive experience, including a special room where visitors can ask questions to a recorded Holocaust survivor, who responds with pre-recorded answers. It was a moving and educational experience.











Milan High School is proud to partner with Ivy Tech to provide our students with valuable dual credit and dual enrollment opportunities! Through this partnership, students have the opportunity to earn all 30 Indiana College Core credits taught by Milan High School staff during the school day —giving them a strong head start on their college journey while still in high school.


We’re so grateful to Honda for welcoming some of our juniors today. The hands-on experience of working alongside professionals gave our students a unique opportunity to explore the wide range of careers available at Honda.









The Milan High School Jazz Band provided an evening of soothing jazz music for community members at the Holdsworth Pavillion in Versailles, Indiana. The weather was perfect and the crowd applauded as the band performed a jazz medley of fifteen of their favorite compositions.



Today, Milan High School had the incredible honor of welcoming Congresswoman Erin Houchin to our campus as she recorded an episode of her podcast, The Contender.
During her visit, Rep. Houchin sat down with two outstanding students—Milan senior Shelby Williams and South Ripley senior Angle Tunny—to talk about the powerful impact of the JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) program.
We’re beyond grateful to Rep. Houchin for shining a spotlight on these inspiring young leaders and the amazing work happening through JAG.




Our Horticulture students were hard at work in the greenhouse today, repotting and watering in preparation for our upcoming Spring Plant Sale! Stay tuned for dates and details!

Two of our Milan High School Work-Based Learning students are taking major steps toward their future as sonographers. These students earned their certification in The Point-of-Care Ultrasound Fundamentals, which taught them the basic physics and instrumentation of ultrasound. This achievement allowed them a glimpse of what their training will look like, and puts them one step closer to making a real impact in the medical field.

Milan High School is hosting a free girl's self defense class on Thursday, April 3 in the high school gymnasium. This class is open to all girls in grades 9-12. In order for your student to attend, she will need to register with parent permission using the QR Code.


Milan Works welcomed Diamond Plumbing to MHS today, giving students a chance to explore career opportunities in plumbing and pipefitting. A huge thanks to Diamond Plumbing for sharing their expertise with our students.




The MHS band is hitting all the right notes on their annual goodwill tour! This year, they’re traveling to sunny Orlando, FL, showcasing their musical talents at various venues along the way. Wishing them an unforgettable journey filled with great performances and safe travels!



MHS had the honor of hosting the ORVC Winter All-Sports Banquet this evening. Congratulations to our outstanding winter athletes who earned All-Conference honors in boys and girls swimming, as well as girls and boys basketball! We’re proud of your hard work and dedication.



Thanks to Southeastern Career Center for hosting a group of Milan High School students today at the Fearless Females event! This event empowers young women to break gender stereotypes and explore STEM and skilled trades. The students loved this hands-on learning experience.











This morning our Work Based Learning students were given the opportunity to put their learning to the test in mock interviews. In collaboration with Civista Bank each student was interviewed, evaluated, then received feedback about their performance. We are so grateful to Civista Bank for giving our students the opportunity to practice career skills that will better prepare them for their future.
