Genesis Summer of STREAM camp registrations are open! Launched in 2022, A Summer of STREAM brings exciting, hands-on camps and activities to ALL middle schoolers (5th-8th grade) across Southeastern Indiana, helping them explore Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math (STREAM) throughout the summer. Each camp and activity is designed to spark creativity, equip students with essential soft skills, and lay the groundwork for a future career pathway. The sun, moon, and stars! First graders recently finished a Project Lead the Way unit on Astronomy. This unit fit perfectly with their recent reading unit. Students were able to explore and learn in collaborative groups.

MES has two new books in the library! Mrs. Sherri Zornes, a representative of the Mu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma donated two special books in honor of late Milan educator Mrs. Jerry Walker. Accepting the new books are Mrs. Walker's great- grandchildren Bailey, Reid, and Rhett.

For those who are interested in signing up their child, you will need to do the following to enroll: ● The child should be 4 by 8/1/25 ● Have an official birth certificate on file ● Have an updated vaccination record on file ● Be fully potty trained The link to register for preschool will be made live on MES Bloomz, MCSC Twitter, MCSC Facebook, MES website, and the MCSC website on March 6th. 3rd Grade Parents: Next week (3/3, 3/4, 3/5) we will be IREAD3 testing for those that did not pass as a second grader. 4th graders at MES were all given a book in honor of the late Roselyn McKittrick. They also learned a lesson about "making a difference" by listening to the story about starfish. Volunteers at Samaritan's Hope Chest then presented each student with a copy of the starfish story.
