Congratulations to these wonderful MES staff members who are retiring this year! Nancy Kohlmeier has worked at Milan Elementary for 24 years, Denise Disney, for 25 years, and Marcia Holcomb, for 5 years. We will miss them terribly but wish them well.
Zoey Griffith, a fourth grade student at Milan Elementary School holds five years worth of Perfect Attendance Awards. This adds up to 900 days without missing a single minute of school. Milan Elementary is very proud of you, Zoey!
Bryleigh Adkins, MES third grader won an American Girl Doll through her continued participation in Girls on the Run weekly lessons. Her name was drawn as a winner of all girls who chose to continue lessons with her family virtually. Way to go, Bryleigh!
Today we salute our remaining support staff, the cafeteria ladies, our custodians, and bus drivers. They give their best everyday to take care of us, feeding us, cleaning, and getting us to and from school safely. We appreciate them! #weRmilan

The Southeastern Indiana YMCA has recently launched a Virtual Kids YMCA on their website, located at https://siymca.org/programs-and-classes/. Each day they are uploading a short newsletter for parents and kids to get some ideas for physical activity and arts/crafts and STEM activities, geared more towards primary, intermediate, and middle school ages, to help during this time of pause.
