Milan Dollars for Scholars surprised four Milan High School seniors on Monday, April 3, announcing that they had received the prestigious Mortara Family Grant. The recipients for Class of 2023 are: Jocelyn Allen, Ariel Haessig, Josie Havlin, and Taylor Williamson.
Their families were at school to join in the surprise celebration that took place on Monday morning.
The Mortara Scholarship is given annually to four outstanding seniors who complete a rigorous application process. The scholarship awards $10,000 per student per year for their four year college experience.
Milan Dollars for Scholars administers this scholarship as well as many others which will be awarded to deserving seniors at the annual Awards Night program which will be held on Wednesday, May 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the Milan High School Cafetorium.
