March 16, 2020

Dear Parents,

The cafeterias at Milan Schools will be offering breakfast and lunch take-home sacks twice a week. We hope that this will help families who are in need during these unusual circumstances.  The meals for students in all grade levels will be available for pick-up at Milan Elementary School on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00-11:00 a.m. These meals will require refrigeration. On Mondays, there will be three days worth of meals and on Thursdays, there will be two days worth of meals to complete the week.

This meal service will begin Thursday, March 19, at Milan Elementary School, from 9:00-11:00 a.m.

There will not be meal service during Spring Break week, March 23-27. The school will notify you when meal service will resume depending on our school schedule after spring break.

We will set up the meal distribution much like a drive-thru.

  • Please pull in at the parent pick up driveway just before the elementary school, then proceed up to the front door area.

  • There you will be greeted by cafeteria workers.

  • Be prepared to give the student’s name and meal account I.D. number.

  • After that information is recorded, then the meal will be given to you and you may exit using the general parking area exit.

The meals will be charged to your child’s meal account as usual for paid accounts.  Free and reduced students will qualify for free or reduced fees for meal pick-up as well.

If you are interested in picking up take-home meal sacks, please complete this information so that our cafeteria may prepare to meet all the needs.  Milan Schools Take-Home Meal Sacks

If you have questions, please call one of our school offices. Thank you for your understanding during this time of uncertainty. We will get through this by working together.

Sincerely,

Ginny Shannon
